Mahendranagar: Ramesh Lekhak, Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress, emphasized the party's crucial role in leading efforts to amend the constitution, aiming to address existing flaws and stabilize the country.

Speaking at a meeting with party cadres in Ratanpur of Belauri Municipality-9 on Monday, Chief Whip Lekhak highlighted the political scenario where the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province were elected from parties with limited parliamentary seats.

"This instability must be rectified," he asserted, underscoring the need to amend the constitution to overcome such challenges. "Acknowledging our weaknesses, we must progress by making necessary amendments to the constitution."

Lekhak urged party cadres to maintain high morale and actively participate in the party's endeavors.

Addressing concerns over the sluggish progress of the postal highway construction in the southern belt of Kanchanpur district, Lekhak attributed the delay to the contractor's negligence.

Despite this setback, he assured that there was no shortage of funds for road construction projects in Daiji-Baildadi, Belauri-Doke Bazaar, and the postal highway. Lekhak pledged to initiate measures to expedite the completion of these vital road projects.
